Corporate Recovery & Insolvency
DMC is a niche firm offering specialised services in both Corporate Recovery and Insolvency. Our team of highly experienced commercial accountants and insolvency practitioners are able to work with a range of businesses. We specialise in advising businesses in distress.
Based in Stockport, DMC was founded over 10 years ago by Andrew Bland, a qualified Chartered Accountant and Insolvency Practitioner. The team has grown over the years and Andrew was joined by Janet Mayo, another qualified Chartered Accountant and Insolvency Practitioner in 2018. We have many years of experience of working with owner managed businesses and pride ourselves in providing “best advice” to resolve the problems faced by companies in today’s trying economic arena.
Directors
Directors have specific duties with regard to the companies they control and this can sometime be in conflict with their other roles as shareholders or individuals. We offer clear advice about their duties.
Advisors
We work with professional advisors such as accountants and solicitors. We know that it’s a big step being referred to us, but the sooner you can do this the better the outcome. As licensed insolvency practitioners, we work to enhance your relationship with your clients by providing different options.
Testimonials
“May I thank you and Andrew for the excellent and efficient service. We are very pleased with how smoothly it all went under tight deadlines.”
“After approximately 20 years of trading my wife and I, as the two directors of our limited company, decided to retire and go for voluntary liquidation. On the recommendation of our accountants’ firm, we approached Janet Mayo of DMC, who responded promptly to our request and thoroughly explained the process with great clarity and provided all the relevant documents. We were concerned that the process may take considerably longer than usual because of the current pandemic. However, Janet and her team organised virtual meetings and gave us clear guidance to follow and managed to process all the documentations required. Following this, the process moved swiftly including the liaison with our accountant as well as the business banking team. At all the stages we were regularly updated. The company assets were promptly distributed to us quicker than expected.
Throughout the liquidation process Janet and her team maintained excellent communications and put our mind in peace. We are extremely pleased with the service we received and would highly recommend DMC.”

Thank you for your letter dated 7th August with the update on the liquidation process.
Whilst I allowed for the fact that I might not receive any funds it has been an educational process to watch how well DMC ( Andrew Bland and all his team ) have handled the process and thank you for keeping me updated.
Best regards
We found at every juncture DMC gave us honest and frank advice and help in providing a solution that addressed our specific situation.
Once we embarked on our journey with DMC, they held our hand and protected us the whole way through the process.
I would not hesitate in recommending DMC and they should be your “first to go to” in todays current climate
Hi Amanda,Thank you so much for all your help. You and Andrew have made a very stressful process very easy for us.With best wishes to you both.
